For the second consecutive year, the OIDP had been held the Second Distinction for Best Practices in Citizens’ Participation with the purpose of building a common space among all cities, local governments and all those municipalities that make of participation their working daily tool. At the same time this award wanted to release, spread and recognize all their processes. This project almost had been lasted one year since the process began in March 2007 with the opening of the nomination period and the constitution of the jury and ended in November with the publication of the resolution of the jury at the annual Conference OIDP.
During this second edition jury had been composed of one member of the Technical Secretariat, one member of the city host of the Conference, three members of the Coordination Committee (partners) and finally as well by nine collaborator members of OIDP. As a novelty, and because that was the second edition, OIDP had been added the winner and three of the experiences mentioned in the First Edition.
The jury evaluations had been based on the eligibility criteria that are well-established in the rules of the call.
