XI Conference - Lleida
6th, 7th, 8th y 9th april 2011

The event counted on the participation of 522 persons, from 16 different countries (the Principality of Andorra). The result of 4 intense days of work gave rise to a Final Declaration that underlined the idea that the new technologies must serve to bring citizens, public spaces and the political sphere closer together.

During the Closing Ceremony the city of Lleida passed the OIDP Presidency on to the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, where the 12th OIDP International Conference will be held in Spring 2012. As its central theme this conference will tackle the question of major urban transformations, from three perspectives: urban planning and participation, social inclusion and the role played by economic sectors in the construction of the city.
