A database of experiences in participation with children and youth

The “Infancy and youth, citizens and participatory processes” workgroup was created last March, under the coordination of the "Junta de Freguesia de Carnide” (Portugal), and coincided with the theme of the 9th Conference of the Network which will be held in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia.

One of the goals of the group is to prepare a database with the participatory experiences with children and youth. It will provide information about the different processes that are going on in the world today. The group was created to promote an exchange among local players seeking to foster the participation of the younger generation of citizens in the cities’ participatory processes.

The compilation of the different experiences is done using a list that has been prepared by each group. This initiative is a good opportunity to the workgroup to know what is taking place around the world, and for one to get to know about the other processes that are currently under way.

In case you would like to help to widen and increase this experience base, you are invited to fill in this list before August 31 (the list should not contain more than 12 pages). Once filled in, please send it to joao.oliveira@jf-carnide.pt and to oidp@bcn.cat.
