In the continuity of its process of setting up the College of participatory budgeting, the African Local Governments Academy (ALGA) of UCLG Africa signed on June, 1st, 2017, a framework convention of cooperation with IOPD Africa and other african organizations.
In the continuity of its process of setting up the College of participatory budgeting, the African Local Governments Academy (ALGA) of UCLG Africa signed on June, 1st, 2017, a framework convention of cooperation with ENDA Ecopop, IOPD Africa and Assoal/School of Governance and the Inter-African Alliance of the participatory budgeting.
The Convention was signed respectively on behalf of UCLG Africa by its Secretary General, Mr. Jean Pierre Elong Mbassi, for Enda Ecopop, IOPD Africa by its Executive Coordinator Mr. Bachir Kanouté, for Assoal/ School of Governance and the Inter-African Alliance of the participatory budgeting, by the President of the Executive board, Mr. Jules Dumas Nguebou.
The agreement anticipates collaboration in the main areas of the participatory budgeting, including:
-Pedagogical engineering;
-The promotion of the participatory budgeting at local, regional, national, continental and international levels;
-Certification and empowerment;
-The development of the African Network of cities and professionals of the participatory budgeting.
