The new mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau and the first deputy mayor Gerardo Pisarello, visited September 15 offices with international projection of Barcelona City Council. After meeting with the Secretary General of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) Josep Roig, they greeted workers to know the different projects they are developing.
The International Observatory of Participatory Democracy (IOPD) that conducts its business through an agreement with UCLG is funded and coordinated by the city of Barcelona. The new municipal government, headed by the mayor Ada Colau since last June, has a firm commitment to deepen participatory democracy in town and cooperate with other cities in this area.
