The call for the 2020 IOPD Award is now open!

14th edition of the IOPD Award "Best Practice in Citizen Participation"

The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD) invites local and regional governments that are members of the IOPD to submit their proposal for the 14th edition of the award. This distinction is an award given annually by the observatory to recognize innovative experiences and public policies on citizen participation.

 

In this edition, the candidacies will be evaluated by an expert jury once have passed a first evaluation stage by all IOPD members through the online participatory platform PARTICIPATE OIDP. The purpose of this initial stage is, on the one hand, to give visibility to all proposals and, on the other hand, to collect the members' opinions on all practices submitted.

The PARTICIPATE OIDP platform is based on DECIDIM, a free open source digital infrastructure that can be used for different kinds of participatory processes such as participatory strategic planning, participatory budgeting, debates, citizen initiatives, and others. 

 

The deadline for proposal submissions is the 17th March 2020 and won't be extended. Proposals must be submitted in three languages (English, French and Spanish). If you need help to translate it, send us the proposal to award@oidp.net before the 3rd March 2020 and we will help you.
