Two months before the IOPD Conference in Grenoble: important information

We hope to see you in Grenoble to act and think together about democratic, environmental and social innovations!

The 21st IOPD Conference will take place from December 7 to 10, the central topic of the conference is contributory democracy: the democracy of doing, personified in the call: To action!

 

This topic will be explored through three major themes:

 

  • Environmental transition and the climate challenge.
  • Social justice, the fight against inequality and inclusiveness.
  • Youth: hopes and commitments for democratic renewal.

 

The pre-program is now available in French. More sessions and program updates will be shared in the coming weeks.

We encourage member cities, IOPD partners and collaborators, as well as local and regional government representatives, activists and academics to join a new edition of the IOPD conference.

Working languages: English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Access to the sessions is free of charge upon registration.

Registration for the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and Final Show will open to the general public in November.

The IOPD annual conference will be preceded by the fourth Saison des Villes en transition (Cities in transition season), organized in partnership with the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), on December 7 and 8, and will be followed by the closing ceremony of the European Green Capital Year on December 10 and 11. We invite you to attend all these events.

Please note that international and local transportation, accommodation, catering, insurance costs (health coverage, civil liability, repatriation, vaccinations and PCR tests) are to be covered by the participants.
